BeeSketchee... What is it?

This website began in the summer of 2023 as a way to share BeeSketchee artwork and how it can be used as a means of therapy, expression, reflection, representation, or a conversation starter.

Creativity starts at a young age. Throughout the years of developing a steady hand an artist goes through stages that arouses craft oriented discoveries. The drawing practice that I came into being with is at times very hard and rough. But, at other times fast but very soft. Hence, BeeSketchee. The hand is buzzing like a bee, grinding out lead and burning down pencils into the empty world of a piece of paper. Similar to pushing a pencil into an electric pencil sharpener until its down to a stubby.

BeeSketchee also takes on a duel meaning. It comes from the skaterboarder-punk-surfer that I believe is in all of us. Just think (in conversational terms) of the remark, "...it's a little sketch. But, it's all harmless..."

This is how I would describe the art that has been instrumental behind BeeSketchee: Da Vinci, Picasso, Michaelangelo, and Le Corbusier sit down to have tea with Walt Disney. Van Gogh joins the party and says he invited a friend. Next thing you know, Salvador Dali walks in bumpin' 2Pac and says, " there's a Dutch man and a bunch of Russian constructivists outside who wanna come in..."

Having a Bachelor's in Architecture it's kind of hard not to allow the drawing skill sets and note making stratedgies influence my work

Logic & Philosophy

You might be wondering, "how does logic and philosophy enter a drawing?.. "

Well, let us consider this:

A: If Einstein's proclaimation of time- where the past, the present, and the future exist simultaneously-is true.

B: If conciousness is interwoven into the fabric of space-time

than

C: Is it possible for us to communicate with our past-self and our future-self?

Saying, "Fuck You."

That's right... A big FUCK YOU or just FUCK YOU... now I don't have to say 'big'...............

But, I'm actually refering to is this: most of what you see are not drawings. They are conversations. Conversatioins with the "inner world" that does not have access to our realm of material (carbon) existance. They exist temporally...

Sounds crazy right?

And, thats where the 'Fuck You' comes in...
